Orrington is a special place. Close to Bar harbor, Acadia, and Bangor while being completely private. Kings Mountain Cottage resides directly on Swetts Pond, only 50 feet from the water, a rare treat as zoning for new construction is at least 500 feet from the water. Wildlife is present and you can be absorbed by nature here. Lastly, our guests are taken aback by the star gazing – we encourage you to use the outdoor fire pit while making wishes on shooting stars.

It’s just like when you check in at a hotel and give your ID and security deposit to the front desk, except our front desk is online! It’s super easy to complete on your phone! We use a web-based system called Happy Guest, and you’ll receive a personalized rental agreement, ID verification, and a simple security hold (which is not a security deposit) to receive your arrival instructions. It’s simple: finish these steps, and you’re all set to enjoy your stay! Note: arrival info won’t be sent without completing these steps, and refunds aren’t possible if skipped.
